What is Art Dinkum?
Art Dinkum is a vibrant online home for artists, creators, and art lovers in Australia (and around the world!).
In a world that is consistently eroding the value in the arts, Art Dinkum was created to provide a space where creatives come together and ‘create for the love of it’. We’re a social space first – the hustle culture takes a backseat.
Art Dinkum fosters connection, camaraderie, and the time to explore your craft on your own terms.
What does Art Dinkum believe in?
🤖 Art Dinkum prefer human/handmade work. We ‘create for the love of it’ and relish the tedium of learning and often failing.
Art Dinkum does not accept the sharing of AI work in our space.
- We do not condone the use of our member artworks being used to train or scrape for AI.
- We recognise that AI technology is beyond our ability to wrangle.
- We recognise that people’s livelihoods are at stake whether they use the technology or not – as such we do not condemn members for their curiosity or need to use the technology.
- We recognise there are positive uses for AI tech but it is not necessary for the enjoyment of creative making and socialising.
